Are SDS and SDS Plus chisels interchangeable?
SDS Plus is a subset of SDS — SDS Plus bits fit SDS Plus hammers and most rotary hammers. SDS Max is a larger shank for heavier-duty demo hammers. Always check your hammer's spec before buying bits.
How do I keep a cold chisel from mushrooming?
Grind the mushroomed head off as soon as it forms — a mushroomed chisel can shatter into shrapnel under a hammer blow. Pro chisels have heat-treated heads that resist mushrooming longer than economy chisels.
Do you stock long masonry drill bits for through-wall work?
Yes — SDS Plus and SDS Max bits up to 12" long for through-wall installs, anchor bolts in foundation walls, and similar deep-drilling work.
